This website is dedicated to Jane Morris (1839-1914).

In 1865, the Pre-Raphaelite painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti commissioned John R. Parsons to create a series of wet plate collodion photographs of his muse Jane Morris.

When I received a copy of one of these photographs from a friend, my first impression was that she had digitally manipulated a portrait I had recently made of myself.

I am Marg. A Dutch artist, born in 1975. This website reflects my research on Jane Morris and the resemblances between us. I intent to make them visible with drawing, painting and photography.
